Travel agency Fortuna Cruising Ltd. has grown from a shipping company Virginia Ltd.
The founders of Virginia Ltd. were one of the first engaged in crewed gulet charter in Croatia. The first gulet, that the Virginia had started to work with, was named Fortuna and the common English name for the cruise is Cruising, therefore our partners from English-speaking areas started to call that company Fortuna Cruising. After having started our job through the Internet, Virginia has registered Fortuna Cruising as its' domain and protected that name as a brand (registered with the Agency for Protection of Copyright in the Republic of Croatia).

Virginia has been engaged in booking its own gulets, but as the number of inquiries increased, Virginia could not meet capacity with its own fleet, so, periodically, Virginia moved the queries to other gulets in Dalmatia. After sometime, few boat owners suggested Virginia to take care of the complete booking of their vessels.

As this has began to be a very demanding branch of business conducted by Virginia, the founders of Virginia decided to establish a new, independent company that would take over this branch of business. Company was named Fortuna Cruising.

Fortuna Cruising, although founded only in 2008., has tradition and a renowned name. Fortuna Cruising is currently (according to our knowledge) the only agency in Croatia, which has 11 vessels in the central booking, while not being an owner of any one of them.

The owners of the vessels have entrusted booking management to Fortuna Cruising and introduced their vessels in the fleet of Fortuna Cruising.

By doing so, they have mandated Fortuna Cruising to appear and act as the owner of the vessels toward other charter agencies and guests.

Also, by doing so, owners of the vessels have committed to provide charter services by conditions and standards of Fortuna Cruising.
The owners have decided to join the Fortuna Cruising fleet for several reasons:

• Experience in bookings on the side of Fortuna Cruising
• Presence at trade fairs, promotions, systematic market analysis, professional approach,
• Developed network of business partners,
• Fortuna Cruising continuous work on the expansion of the network of collaborators and agencies,
• Support to vessels in the preparation of the season (crew support, recommendations in the projects on board, consulting with the interior decorations, assistance with procurement of equipment)
• Support for the crew in the season (organization of fast service, providing the necessities, intervention at the request of the guests or crew, organizing medical assistance ,...)
• Preparation of all additional arrangements for the guests (transfers, guarded parking, booking of hotels, restaurants, organization of trips, engagement of the guide ... all of which often occur in the last moment, in a very short time),
• Stay on board to support and train the new crew members during the charter or inspection services on board,
• Preparation of contracts, invoices, crew lists and passengers
